The desire for instant gratification

stems from the insecurity that

it won't be around later.

The ability to delay gratification,

subordinating fleeting wants

to a greater, higher calling

is the real builder of

dreams come true.

bus in huge letters on

the side of its new fleet

encouraging the public

to 'be a dirty stop out'.

by the idea that everyone

will get into heaven

than the idea that most

will go to hell.

Subordinate feelings

to values and principles.

Values provide a

firm foundation so that

we may feel the wind,

yet not be toppled by it.

Perception Check

Sometimes the way we see the problem

is the problem.

Proclaim

Enough of the Umms, Errs

and rhetorical questions.

It's time to run to the nearest

reasonably high mound, roll up

a paper megaphone and proclaim:

I BELIEVE!

Keep your own house

Trust men,

but do not hold them accountable

for keeping your own house in order.

Each lives

with the consequences

of his own hands.

Once upon a time...

Some people just live for today

others only live for tomorrow.

You could live your life

like it's a story that you'd

want to tell someone.

Pass on a Good Thing

Before you judge, remember

"by the grace of God, go I,"

and then be the grace

of God, to them.

Service

You will never become so great,

famous, rich or powerful that

you can't kneel down to

serve the last, lost

and the least.

The Me-est

You don't need the richest,

strongest, fittest, funniest,

coolest, sweetest. You don't

ask for these things.

It's time to start listening,

I'll be the thoughtful-est,

loyalest, comfortable-est,

the me-est.

Love should set you free

Breathing Air

I am fully satisfied with the

air that unfurls in my chest

So now I may no longer live in

fear that I won't become more,

but in the hope that soon I might.

Breathing hope that satisfies,

like air that unfurls in my chest.
